17.10.24: Full Moon in Aries

"Free will, when truly understood, is not the freedom to do as we please, but the freedom to choose how we respond to what life brings."

Hello Dear One,

I'm writing this love letter from the cozy kitchen of my new home, which I'm enjoying to the fullest.

Yesterday, I held a Lunar Circle in Tulum with a lovely group for the Full Moon, which inspired many things I'd like to share with you in this love letter.

Before we dive in, I want to say: if you're feeling immense anger, rage, or pent-up emotions right now, you're in tune with the cosmos.

The current energy in the skies is tense, and it's reflecting on both collective and personal levels. But we know we're the ones leading the show—let's never forget that.

And here we are, already touching on Aries' favorite topic: Our Free Will.

ARIES: THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING

This Full Moon happens at 24 degrees of Aries, close to the North Node, giving it some eclipse vibes, though not quite close enough to be an actual eclipse.

What does this mean? It's an important Moon in many ways. And to understand why, we need to look closer at the archetype of Aries.

Aries is the beginning of everything, the Zero-point so to say.

It's the moment in spring when day and night are equal at Spring Equinox, and the world takes a deep breath as we return to longer days in the northern hemisphere. The moment when the light returns.

THE COSMIC FIRE IS BORN FROM THE WOMB OF PISCES

Born from the womb of Pisces, Aries is a fireball of energy shooting into the world like a rocket. Hir horns still wet from the sea of Pisces.

Its mission? To answer the burning question: “Who am I?”
What an uncertain moment in the zodiac, don't you think?

Yesterday, during the Lunar Circle, I asked the participants to listen to a song (please find it further down in this love letter) and share what stuck with them.

Some said “responsibility,” others “curiosity.” Some felt nostalgia or loneliness, while others felt endless possibilities.

All of this is Aries. A spectrum of options, yet also a sense of grief as we move from the oneness of Pisces into the separation of Aries, into the human dimension of duality where we know that we die alone.

FULL MOONS: A CULMINATION OF ENERGY

As you may know, Full Moons are a culmination of energy—something is coming to an end that began two weeks ago with the New Moon in Libra.

With the past two eclipses, we've been diving deep into transformational and karmic stuff. Now, the Moon seems to be asking: “What have you learned about yourself? Who are you really after all of that? And what are you not?“.

It's like we're pregnant with the question of what our innermost desires are and what seeds we want to plant into the world with our existence. I know, big stuff.

MOON IN ARIES: FIERY EMOTIONS THAT WANT TO BE EXPRESSED

The Moon represents our emotions, so when it's in Aries, emotions can feel impulsive, fiery, and intense.

This might be a time where things boil up, and you feel the need to defend yourself, mark your territory, or scream into the world that you won't take any sh** anymore. Fair enough.

Remember: In a society that tries to numb our emotions, it's an act of rebellion to feel deeply. And if those feelings imply anger, give them the space they need. Because, anger itself is not really the problem but when we suppress it, it becomes a problem.

One of my teachers once said: „To stop war, we need to acknowledge the war within us.“ Those words stuck with me until today.

CHIRON CONJUNCT THE MOON

Chiron, the „Wounded Healer," symbolizes our deepest wounds and our ability to heal others. With the Moon conjunct Chiron, this is a cosmic reminder that our emotional wounds might arise in bold Aries-style manner.

Chiron might make us hesitate to dive into life, poking at our ability to be courageous, spontaneous, and assertive. It's like a little voice whispering, “Remember last time – you don't want to f*** up again, aren't you?”.

But here's the truth: those very Aries traits we hesitate to embrace are our medicine. The more we lean into boldness and take action, the more acceptance happens.

THE MEDICINE OF THE POLARITY: LIBRA

When we lose ourselves in the shadow of one archetype, the polarity often holds the remedy.

If Aries lashes out in frustration, Libra might say: “Hey, fiery one, slow down. Consider the world around you. You don't have to do it all alone. Let's walk this path together.”

Libra reminds Aries that it's not him against the world. Connection matters, and finding middle ground goes a long way in relationships.

MOON IN TENSION WITH MARS AND PLUTO

When the Moon squares Mars and Pluto, like today, it's like an emotional rollercoaster with no seatbelt.

Mars brings impulsive, fiery energy, making us restless and reactive. Meanwhile, Pluto cranks up the intensity, bringing buried emotions and power struggles to the surface. Hallelujah.

The challenge? Not letting these explosive feelings take over. I know, easier said than done.

It's a time to breathe, feel our bodies deeply, and find a healthy outlet for all that inner tension: Boxing, screaming into your pillow or unclenshing your jaw, you know what's best for you.

Power and control issues might arise, but the key is learning to channel that intensity into something productive instead of letting it run wild.

QUESTIONS THE MOON WOULD ASK:

  • How aligned are you with your soul's true desires?

  • How do you communicate your needs in relationships? How are your boundaries?

  • What old childhood wounds are resurfacing right now?

  • How do you create space for your anger, and what do you create from it?

  • When do you find yourself projecting frustrations onto others? Are you aware when it happens?

  • How can you offer yourself compassion instead of slipping into self-blame?

MAKING PEACE WITH OUR INTERNAL ANGER AND LOVING OURSELVES INTO ACCEPTANCE

As we close this Full Moon in Aries, remember that this fiery energy is here to guide us back to our truest selves.

It's not about suppressing anger or frustration—it's about making peace with those emotions, letting them be seen and felt, but not letting them control us.

We're learning to balance Aries' fiery independence with Libra's connection and harmony.

So, if you feel like you're walking a tightrope between action and reflection, between fiery outbursts and soft surrender, you're exactly where you need to be.

Keep showing up, trust the process, and remember:

“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” – Oscar Wilde

With love,
Karina
